It seems almost too easy to run Dino, an XMPP client for Linux, through Tor? On Linux, I just launch it with `torsocks dino-im`?

Is there some way I can verify that I'm connected through Tor?

@schlink note the warning there re DNS but yes, torsocks pushes all the traffic through the SOCKS proxy that Tor provides.

You can use ‘nyx’ to observe Tor traffic stats in a terminal.

If you’ve just installed Tor on a regular Linux computer as opposed to using a Linux distro tailored specifically for Tor use, be careful not to run other apps on Tor at the same time as Dino if you can possible help it, as in theory it gets easier to de-anonymize you as being the same person using both tools.
